Video - Laying Out a Canvas Gallery Wrap
Posted on: June 30, 2010
We posted a video last night on ePhotoPros.com going over one way to layout an image for a canvas Gallery Wrap, including how to work with the edges when the image is not proportional to the size you want.
The video demonstrates a technique where you use the single row marquee and single column marquee selection tools to grab the edge of an image and then transform it to stretch it to fill in the edges that are wrapped. You then select the front of the image (feathered a bit) and select the inverse to get just the edges and then blur it. It is a quick and easy way to add some image around the edges and it looks really good.

Posted on: June 10, 2010
Ever wonder what all those tools and palettes are in photoshop that you never use? wouldn't it be great if you could just click on one and it would play a quick video about what it is and how to use it? Well, that is exactly what the PSHVT is - the Photoshop Screenshot Help Videos Thing. It is probably the coolest thing we have done over at ePhotoPros.com and is well worth a few minutes of your time.
Check it out at:
http://ephotopros.com/training/photoshop-screenshot-help-videos.aspx
Simply click on a tool, Palette or Menu item and a short video will play in the middle of the screen. great stuff!

Adobe Photoshop CS5
Posted on: May 02, 2010
Adobe Photoshop CS5 was just released, I just upgraded one of our computers so we could see what is new... so far I have not found anything that is a most have as far as day to day work is concerned, though the content aware fill is super cool... I just don't know that it is something that will be used all the time. But maybe - when you see how easy it is to delete stuff and have the background automatically fill in.
Basic RAW editing appears to be much the same, Bridge looks pretty much the same, in fact the entire user interface for Photoshop, Bridge and ACR all look the same as CS4.
